About Pepper

Pepper Miller is a recognized researcher, author, thought leader, and Black American subject matter expert. 

She founded The Hunter-Miller Group (HMG) in 1995, a Chicago-based, leading-edge market research and strategic planning firm. Since then, Pepper has been helping Fortune 500 companies and non-profits better understand and positively engage Black America to have loyal customers and a positive bottom line.

Some of these clients include AARP, Bravo, CNN, McDonald’s, Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Walgreens, U.S. Bank, The Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and more.

In addition to writing Let Me Explain BLACK Again, Pepper also co-authored with the late Herb Kemp, What’s Black About It? and authored Black STILL Matter.
