Cory builds and scales high-growth retail and consumer products.
As President of Sunnyside, Cory has led and scaled the national retailer to $500M ($130M+ EBITDA) across 70+ locations, now one of the largest and the most productive retailers in the industry. He also architected, built, and scaled eight cannabis brands from <$10M to $500M within three years, resulting in the largest portfolio and #1 brand in the industry.
Prior to building this industry, Cory was a leader at Gatorade, where he directed consumer engagement for the $5B portfolio and drove the #1 marketing ROI within the PepsiCo beverage portfolio. In 2015 and 2016, following eight consecutive years of decline, Cory helped guide the turnaround of Propel, a workout water brand, to become the fastest growing enhanced water in the category. The brand has subsequently grown for ten consecutive years.
Cory began his career leading portfolio strategy and private equity diligence as a founding member and Principal of the Consumer Practice at The Parthenon Group, a management consulting firm acquired by EY.
Cory has been honored as a 40 Under 40 by Crain’s Business, AdAge and Brand Innovators. His documentary work has premiered at festivals such as SXSW and Tribeca, recognized with Emmy nomination, Oscar eligibility, and Grand CLIOs, and distributed by Amazon, HBO Max, and Documentary+. He is a graduate of Duke University and received his MBA from the Harvard Business School.
